Jason Cruise, host of Mossberg's Rugged American Hunter, believes so.  This concept is an old hunting blind concept adapted from European hunters.  And it works! Duck blinds can be bought or you can learn how to build a duck blind in all sorts of creative ways. Jason said, "After so many years of experimenting we finally came up with a duck blind that is super easy to build and easy on the budget. Most of it this duck blind has been the easiest to hide from standing out." The biggest issue with hunting open water is that a duck blind is like a neon sign. Doing some things that break up the outline is important, but usually the blind still looks out of place. The key element of this hunting blind is that you have water between the duck hunters and that is super effective breaking up the outline of the duck blind.
